What are Czech Republic’s data privacy regulations ?

The Czech Personal Data Processing Act 2019 forms together with the Czech Data Protection Act 2000 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) the data protection regime in the Czech Republic. The Office for Personal Data Protection (UOOU) is the main data protection authority. It is responsible for publishing guidelines, recommendations and other documents on the protection of personal data in the Czech Republic.

The Personal Data Processing Act supplements the GDPR and tailors its provisions to the particular national context. The Czech data protection framework protects the data privacy of individuals and as such it contains a number of provisions and requirements related to the processing of personal data of individuals.

This solution will provide your organisation guidance on how to comply and stay compliant with the Czech data protection laws. In order to also receive guidance on the GDPR, we recommend you to use this solution in combination with the GDPR solution.
